Offered for sale is this classic Rolex Explorer 14270, an S serial example dating to approximately 1994. Widely regarded as one of the most versatile watches Rolex has ever produced, the 14270 combines timeless proportions with a clean, understated design that wears effortlessly in any setting.
This example features its original tritium dial with matching tritium handset. The dial remains clean and attractive, giving the watch the warm vintage character collectors seek in early Explorer references.
The watch presents very well overall. The case retains strong proportions and shows honest wear consistent with age. The bracelet and clasp display typical surface wear from normal use, including light scratching throughout. There is a small nick on the edge of the crystal near the 9 o’clock position. It is minor, does not obstruct the dial, and is difficult to notice during normal wear. Please review the photos carefully, as they form part of the description.
At the time of listing, the watch is running approximately +5 seconds per day with an amplitude of approximately 260 degrees when fully wound. Service history is unknown.
The watch is fitted to a Rolex Oyster bracelet and will accommodate a wrist of approximately 7.75 inches.
