About this watch

Hello there, I am selling my Omega Seamaster Professional 300 Diver 41mm Electric Blue Quartz - 2265.80. I am asking $3,300 for this very special watch. If you want an Electric Blue, this is the one to get. It’s also one of the thinnest SMPs made (11.6mm on quartz vs the automatic’s 12mm and the current generation’s 13.7mm). The Chronometer version of this watch also requires costly servicing and it only has a 42 hour power reserve. This particular watch is an outlier in the set-it-and-forget-it daily driver space. In addition, I don’t think you will find one in a nicer condition than this. It honestly looks and feels like it is brand new. This is in the US, so no tariffs will be assessed. It will be shipped next business day insurred.

First this watch was in excellent condition, and was very well taken care of by the person I purchased it from. I then sent it into service, and Omega kicked it up to 11. This watch came back from Omega (around 2 months ago) from a $500 Omega Complete Service. What does this include/mean:

- Brand new Quartz Movement - When servicing a Quartz movement, Omega replaces the movement outright with a brand new version. That means, that this now has the very best version of the Omega 1538. Since this watch’s inception, the movement was upgraded several times. The date the watch was purchased, dictated which version you got. Options go between 1538a, b, c, d. Before I sent it off, this watch had a 1538B movement., This watch was upgraded to a brand new D. I have not seen the movement with my own eyes, because I don’t want to damage the watertight seal, more on that in a bit. But Omega told me they would only maintain a stock of the newest versions.

- Brand New battery - 42 month battery life only around 2-months in

- Brand new Handset - The brand new Lume on the Sword Hands looks amazing. This watch is a flashlight. Old Hands are included

- Brand new Crown and Helium Escape Valve - old ones are included

- Completely dissembled and cleaned inside and out. The blue dial looks amazing.

- Brand new Bezel lock and Spring (Bezel itself is original) - the bezel click like it just came from the factory. The old rusted pieces are included if you want them.

- Polished to be just like new by Omega on a completely disassembled watch. Every edge is super sharp, If you look with a loop, you can see some small flea bites, but to my eyes, this looks brand new.

- The bracelet also looks amazing. These watches usually have the polished inner links that have been worn down to look brushed like the rest of the bracelet. These inner polished links now look great, just as they did when it was new.

- This service comes with a new 2-year Omega International Warranty including Paperwork indicating the work done

- The service comes with a new red Omega Travel Box

- Dive ready Tested - This watch has been tested to be Dive Ready by Omega. The card showing this test result is included. You would normally NEVER dive in a neo-vintage watch, but you can with this one.

  • Note: The cost for an Omega quartz watch service was very recently raised to $550.

It does not come with the original box, but that Box is worse than useless. Watch boxes from this vintage are falling apart, the leather is crumbling, and it gets all over everything. This has a brand new and 10X nicer, genuine Omega Travel box that can actually be used.

It does not come with the original 20-year old cards, but those are mainly used to add provenance to guarantee authenticity. This comes with new Omega Paperwork indicating the same. Plus a recent water pressure test. In addition, when I purchased the watch, it came with a certificate of authenticity, but honestly, that’s not necessary because Omega would not have serviced the watch if it was not genuine. You will get the authenticity guarantee card and the Omega Paperwork that was issued with the service, that counts as your warranty.

Note: I think I am missing a link or 2, but it fits my 7.15” wrist with a little room plus 1 full extra link. I think this might fit up to a 7.5” wrist as is.

Note: There is a little divot in the Bezel near 12. I have included a picture with an arrow pointing to it. It is small, but I wanted to call it out.

This was a very difficult decision to sell this watch, but I have another Blue Omega Diver, and having two just doesn’t make sense, so I am moving this one along to make room for another watch. When this watch came back from service, I kept it in the box because I thought if I was going to sell it, now would be the time. So it has only been worn twice since the service.

This is a special watch. If you want a watch of this vintage and model, and you want to get a practically new watch, this is the absolute best one you are going to find. Please feel free to ask me any questions. Thank you for looking.
